Allgemeine Beschreibung
Hierbei handelt es sich um eine neue Fluoritlagerstätte, die in Uis, Namibia, abgebaut wird und eine Reihe blauer, grüner und violetter Farben aufweist, wobei auf den Stücken manchmal intrusive Quarzfreilegungen zu sehen sind. Toprock Namibia entdeckte diese Lagerstätte vor etwa 19 Jahren und begann erst in den letzten Jahren aktiv mit dem Abbau. Die Lagerstätte weist 30 – 60 cm dicke Platten auf, die etwa 15 m tief verlaufen. Einige Abschnitte der Lagerstätte liefern edelsteinartige grüne Stücke mit geringerer Farbvielfalt. Das mehrfarbige Material wird aufgrund der einzigartigen Farbkombinationen normalerweise als Wassermelonenfluorit bezeichnet.
