General Description
“Luena, Congo, is celebrated for its classic cascading quartz with a lovely smoky color and prominent phantom-like features. Recently, it has almost exclusively produced clear to smoky cascading phantom material. Although Luena is renowned for its citrine, this material has become exceptionally rare. Supporting current mining efforts is crucial as we hope for the discovery of new citrine-rich sections.
The quartz from Luena features gentle smoky hues and striking phantoms within the crystals. While the material is highly selected and generally intact, minor damage is common due to the lengthy motorbike journey through rugged terrain before reaching accessible roads. The deposits are exceptionally remote, and sporadic political instability makes access even more challenging.”
