A NOTE FROM NICK
Hi TopRockers, I’m excited to share an update on the specimens we initially identified as Emeralds in Matrix. Lab testing has revealed they are not true Emeralds, as they lack Beryl, the mineral behind Emeralds green hue. Instead, they are a newly identified Chromium-rich mineral in the Mica family, now classified as Emerald Mica (Chrome Muscovite). While not genuine Emeralds, these specimens feature stunning green hues and intricate matrix patterns, making them unique and valuable. You can view the latest lab results of the specimens HERE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Emerald Mica From Mutoko, Zimbabwe

Emerald Mica (Chrome Muscovite), is a rare mineral from Mutoko, Zimbabwe, characterized by its vibrant emerald-green hue, which comes from its high Chromium content. A member of the Mica group, it features the classic layered, sheet-like structure of Muscovite, with a pearly, vitreous luster and translucent to opaque appearance. Often found embedded in a silky silver Mica matrix. While not a true Emerald, its rarity and aesthetic appeal highlight the rich geological diversity of the Mutoko region.
