LABRADORITE
Labradorite is a remarkable rock known for its unique chatoyancy, or labradorescence, displaying a spectrum of colors including blue, yellow, pink, purple, and occasionally red. While deep blue is the most common hue, other colors are notably rarer.
Polishing labradorite to reveal its iridescence requires specialized skills, and only a select few can achieve the desired effect, making each piece a true work of art. Composed primarily of feldspar and calcic plagioclase, labradorite crystallizes in a triclinic structure, adding stunning visual appeal to any mineral collection.
