General Description
Chrysoprase, Chrysophrase or Chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of Chalcedony (a cryptocrystalline form of Silica) that contains small quantities of Nickel. Chrysoprase's colour is normally apple-green, but varies to deep green. The darker varieties of Chrysoprase are also referred to as prase. We often get stunning Chrysoprase polished items across a range of shapes from Madagascar, but hand polished Namibia material is not as common. Amazing line of rare polished things.
