PRODUCT INFORMATION

General Description

10 to 17 pieces included per batch. Shattuckite is a captivating copper silicate hydroxide mineral. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic – bipyramidal crystal system, typically found in granular massive forms and fibrous acicular crystals. It closely resembles Plancheite in structure and appearance. This mineral is named after its discovery location, the Shattuck Mine in Bisbee, Arizona, USA. Our specimens are sourced from various deposits across Namibia, offering a range of colour intensities, from light to darker blue, with some pieces displaying botryoidal, needle-like, or fibrous exposures. Our new deposit even yields cauliflower-like specimens, often associated with Duftite. Sometimes, we also obtain matrix material, which may contain minerals like Chrysocolla, Malachite, and Azurite. In certain cases, we acquire professionally polished material from this region, primarily in the form of facetted points. Explore the allure of Shattuckite and add a touch of natural beauty to your collection with these remarkable specimens.
