These exquisite formations undergo an intricate acid-bathing process in South Africa, meticulously removing the majority or all traces of matrix and leaving behind pure, stunning Blue Lace Agate and/or Blue Chalcedony. The acid preparation, performed locally, reveals the true essence of this material, often adorned with Pyrite on the etched surfaces. The intricate features of these specimens are truly captivating, showcasing the remarkable complexity of nature's artistry. A percentage of crystalline material even boasts the presence of Dog Tooth Calcite crystals, adding an extra layer of fascination.
