PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Shattuckite with Azurite and Chrysocolla from Kaokoveld, Namibia

Shattuckite with Azurite and Chrysocolla from Kaokoveld, Namibia, is a mineral trio known for its vivid interplay of blues and greens, born from Copper-rich deposits in this arid region. Shattuckite, a Copper Silicate Hydroxide, forms the foundation with its silky, botryoidal or fibrous blue masses, ranging from pale sky tones to deep sapphire shades. Azurite, a Copper Carbonate Hydroxide, punctuates the mix with lustrous, deep azure crystals or coatings, while Chrysocolla, a Hydrous Copper Silicate, weaves in bright cyan to turquoise hues in smooth, rounded crusts or layers. Together, they create a mesmerizing contrast on a quartz or rocky matrix, with the Kaokoveld Plateau’s oxidized Copper zones yielding these rare, collector coveted specimens that blend texture, color, and natural artistry into a singular, stunning display.
