General Description

Highly selected gemmy to semi-gemmy perfectly polished Rose Quartz palm stones. Many have star reflections when held directly down in sun/ good light and all are sweet pink and nice (Approximately 11 - 18 per batch)

Rose Quartz is generally found in two regions of Madagascar, Ambatondrazaka & Antsirabe, the latter being considered the best deposit in the country. The regional material always has lovely colour intensity and gemmy clarity but this is variable depending on the grade. We only select the top 20% of all material which ranges from a lighter pink with a girasol-like glow to much darker shades of pink. On occasion pieces may have differential colour intensity across a single piece or between pieces. Madagascar is renowned for the gemmy clarity of their Rose Quartz but tends to have lighter tones of pink. Star-Rose Quartz is the main material from the region which produces an asterism on a sphere. The same material is often used for points and other polished items such as bowls, standing free forms and Gallets. However, the asterism is not produced due to the missing geometry. Madagascar is a great source of top quality Rose Quartz material. Absolutely stunning and always a sought after product line in any retail or commercial space. 
The photographs are representative of either the entire stock item offered, else a representative sample of the broader batch. Variation is to be expected across individually selected batches. However, all batches / items within this stock item are fully sorted and selected accordingly to associated grade.
