Weiß bis blassgelb, in manchen Fällen hellgrün, Opal mit zahlreichen variablen dendritischen Einschlüssen. Sehr seltenes, sehr begehrtes Material. Ein dendritischer Stein weist deutliche Einschlüsse von Manganoxid auf, das in einem vielfach verzweigten, baumartigen Muster kristallisiert ist. Dieses Muster wird oft als Pflanzenfossil fehlinterpretiert. Dendriten bilden sich, wenn mangan- und eisenreiches Wasser entlang winziger Risse zwischen Schichten und Rissen im Opal fließt.
