Madagascar is home to a variety of fossilized Ammonites, dating back to the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, each showcasing unique features. Some of the most sought-after Ammonites from the region include Cleoniceras, known for its intricate suture patterns and and vibrant red and orange hues, and Phylloceras, which is recognized for its smooth, glossy shell. Many of these Ammonites exhibit stunning mineralization, with some featuring opalescent Aragonite, giving them an iridescent sheen.
