Allgemeine Beschreibung

Achat ist jede durchscheinende mikrokristalline Form von Kieselsäure. Achate sind in der Regel durchscheinend, während Jaspis undurchsichtiger sind und kein Licht durchlassen. Achat und kristalliner Achat sind ein Grundnahrungsmittel aus Madagaskar. Der Achat wird im ganzen Land beschafft und größtenteils in Antananarivo poliert. Das Material reicht von gebändertem Grau und Weiß bis hin zu dendritischen schwarzen Flecken und Befestigungsmerkmalen mit Kristallen von klarem, weißem oder blassem bis hin zu leuchtend violettem Amethyst. Der Großteil des Materials wird in der Regel geschnitten und poliert, wobei nur sehr wenig Material unbearbeitet bleibt. Dies unterscheidet sich stark von standardmäßigem brasilianischem gefärbtem Material, da wir nur Material mit natürlicher Farbe liefern. Es werden nur die obersten 20 % des Materials ausgewählt. Der Preis ist sortenabhängig. Artikel sind wie abgebildet.
