BLACK SCHORL TOURMALINE
Our Black Schorl Tourmaline, the most common form of Tourmaline, comes as natural crystals from Namibia and polished pieces from Madagascar. Known for its deep black color and lustrous crystals, it is one of the most aesthetic black minerals. Namibian specimens from the Erongo Region pair beautifully with Hyalite Opal and Smoky Quartz. With a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, Black Schorl is durable and versatile. It is also used in international space stations for its ability to absorb electromagnetic and solar radiation.
