SHATTUCKITE
Shattuckite is a copper silicate hydroxide mineral (Cu5(SiO3)4(OH)2) that crystallizes in the orthorhombic-dipyramidal system. It occurs as granular masses or fibrous acicular crystals and is closely related to plancheite. Polished Shattuckite from Namibia displays vivid blues enhanced by associated copper minerals. This exceptional material includes vibrant hues of chrysocolla, plancheite, and sometimes duftite, cuprite, chalcocite, native copper, azurite, and dioptase.
