Our Natural Black Schorl Tourmaline crystals from Namibia and Zimbabwe feature a deep black color from iron and trace elements. Formed in igneous and metamorphic rocks, they display a trigonal crystal system with long, striated prisms. The stunning quality of Namibian specimens makes them highly sought after, often paired with Hyalite Opal and Smoky Quartz crystals. We also source polished Black Schorl and Pink Rubellite Tourmaline from Madagascar. With a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, Black Schorl is durable and versatile. It features a vitreous to sub-vitreous luster, making it an excellent choice for retail environments.
