General Description

Beautiful selected Amazonite! Natural turquoise coloured gem Feldspar, is sporadically available from Madagascar & Zimbabwe. Malagasy colour has been decreasing in intensity for a number of years and the material is often hard to get. However, a new section of the deposit has been exposed and the colour intensity quality appears to be rebounding. The material also sometimes has a white banded like colour distribution. The odd piece may have small specular Smokey Quartz like inclusions else small traces of black specular inclusions. Deposits from Zimbabwe can be anywhere along the Malagasy spectrum as well but one features which seems to be more common is the "Kobi" beef like appearance of the Amazonite from Zimbabwe, in that, the classic turquoise colour is offset again a marbling of white to creamed coloured material. Often results in beautiful patterns. Price is grade dependant. Item/s are as shown.
